In-House Courses (Bespoke and Read-to-go Workshops)

Please read and accept these Terms and Conditions before requesting an in-house workshop proposal.

By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Think in Bricks® is a registered trademark and trading name of ScruffyWorks Coaching Ltd, an independent company offering bespoke and ready-to-go workshops using the LEGO® Serious Play® method.

1. Request and Payment Terms

  • In-house workshop proposals (bespoke or ready-to-go) can be requested via enquiry@thinkinbricks.com.

  • Proposals must be accepted in writing via email, forming a binding contract between Think in Bricks® and you (the Client).

  • Full payment is due 4 weeks before the workshop start date, invoiced upon proposal acceptance. Quote purchase order numbers if applicable.

  • At your request, a Stripe payment link can be provided as an alternative to invoice payment (bank details provided on invoice).

  • Terms apply from acceptance date.

2. Fees

  • Workshops (bespoke or ready-to-go) are charged at the agreed contract value plus any travel, accommodation, or subsistence expenses incurred by Think in Bricks®.

  • As a UK business:

    • UK/EU deliveries are subject to UK VAT (currently 20%).

    • EU B2B clients must provide a valid VAT number for reverse charge; otherwise, VAT applies.

    • UK clients pay VAT; rest-of-world clients are VAT-exempt.

3. Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel:

    • More than 4 weeks before: 15% of contract value.

    • 2-4 weeks before: 50% of contract value.

    • Less than 2 weeks before: 100% of contract value.

  • Cancellations must be in writing via email. Refunds (if prepaid) or invoices (if unpaid) will reflect these fees.

  • You’re liable for any costs already incurred by Think in Bricks®, including travel, accommodation, subsistence, venue-related expenses (if applicable), or materials (e.g., additional LEGO® bricks or kits pre-agreed with you for the workshop).

4. Unforeseen Circumstances

  • If Think in Bricks® cancels (e.g., due to unforeseen issues), you’ll get as much notice as possible and an alternative date or full refund.

  • Liability is capped at the contract value—no coverage for your travel, accommodation, or other losses.

  • If Think in Bricks® postpone, the contract remains valid under these terms, with no liability for your costs.

5. Changes

  • Participant name changes are free up to 10 working days before; £25 per change after that.

  • Additional participants for bespoke workshops: request 7 days prior, full fees due before the start date.

  • Workshop details may be adjusted if needed, and disruptive participants can be excluded (no refund) if they hinder delivery.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Feel free to use Think in Bricks® LEGO® Serious Play® ideas for your own facilitation.

  • Certification to train others as LEGO® Serious Play® facilitators is managed through an associated provider - do not use these workshop materials or methods to certify facilitators without proper authorisation. Breaches violate UK IP law (trademarks, copyright, etc.).

7. General

In-Person Courses (Facilitator Training)

Please read and accept these Terms and Conditions before booking an in-person facilitator training course.

By booking, you agree to be bound by these terms. Think in Bricks® is a registered trademark and trading name of ScruffyWorks Coaching Ltd, an independent company offering facilitator training in the LEGO® Serious Play® method.

1. Booking and Payment Terms

  • Book training online here via Stripe.

  • If you prefer to be invoiced (e.g., for company payments or multiple bookings), reach out at enquiry@thinkinbricks.com with your request. In these cases, full payment is due 4 weeks before the course starts.

  • Booking confirms a binding contract between Think in Bricks® and you (the Customer). Terms apply from booking date.

2. Fees

  • Course fees are set as listed at booking, no additional expenses unless specified (e.g., optional materials).

  • As a UK business:

    • UK/EU courses include UK VAT (currently 20%).

    • EU B2B customers need a valid VAT number for reverse charge; otherwise, VAT applies.

    • UK customers pay VAT; rest-of-world customers are VAT-exempt.

3. Cancellations

  • If you cancel:

    • More than 6 weeks before: 100% refund or transfer to another course.

    • 2-6 weeks before: 50% refund.

    • Less than 2 weeks before: No refund.

    • Non-attendance: No refund.

  • Cancellations must be in writing via email. Flexibility may apply in exceptional cases.

4. Unforeseen Circumstances

  • If Think in Bricks® cancels (e.g., low numbers), you’ll get notice ASAP and an alternative date or full refund.

  • Liability is capped at course fees - no coverage for your travel, accommodation, or other losses.

  • If Think in Bricks® postpone or change venues, terms remain, with no liability for your costs.

5. Changes

  • Name changes are free up to 10 working days before; £25 per change after that.

  • Course details may be adjusted if needed, and disruptive participants can be excluded (no refund) if they hinder delivery.

  • Venue changes may occur if needed - notice provided ASAP.

6. Certification and IP

  • Complete the course to earn a digital badge (shareable via Accredible) and certificate as a Certified Facilitator of LEGO® Serious Play®.

  • Feel free to use Think in Bricks® LEGO® Serious Play® ideas for your own facilitation.

  • Certification to train others as LEGO® Serious Play® facilitators is managed through an associated provider - do not use these workshop materials or methods to certify facilitators without proper authorisation. Breaches violate UK IP law (trademarks, copyright, etc.).

Privacy Policy for Think in Bricks®

Think in Bricks® is a registered trademark and trading name of ScruffyWorks Coaching Ltd, an independent UK company offering LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator training and in-house workshops. We’re committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you engage with us.

What Data We Collect
We collect minimal personal data, limited to:

  • Email Address: When you contact us (e.g., via enquiry@thinkinbricks.com) to request a workshop proposal, book training, or make an enquiry.

  • Payment Information: Processed solely by Stripe for training bookings or invoiced workshop payments. We don’t see or store your payment details.


How We Collect It

  • Directly from You: Via email when you reach out or book training online through the payment/booking link.

  • No Website Forms: We don’t use forms or cookies that collect additional data - email is our only point of contact.


Why We Use Your Data (Lawful Basis)
We process your email address for these purposes:

  • Contract: To respond to your enquiries, confirm bookings, send workshop proposals, or fulfil our services (e.g., training or workshops). Your email serves as proof of our agreement.

  • Legal Obligation: To retain records for tax and audit purposes, as required by UK law (e.g., HMRC rules).

  • We don’t use your data for marketing unless you explicitly opt in (e.g., “I’d like updates” in your email).

How Long We Keep It

  • Emails: Retained for up to 6 years after our last interaction, aligning with UK tax record-keeping requirements (e.g., proof of contract or payment). After this, they’re deleted from our inbox.

  • Payment Data: Stripe retains this per their policy - we don’t hold it.

Who We Share It With

  • Stripe: Processes training payments securely (see their Privacy Policy).

  • No Third Parties: We don’t share your email with anyone else unless legally required (e.g., HMRC audit).

Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you can:

  • Access your data (request a copy).

  • Correct inaccuracies.

  • Request deletion (unless we need it for legal/contract reasons).

  • Restrict or object to processing (e.g., stop replies if not contract-related).

  • Complain to the UK ICO (www.ico.org.uk) if unhappy.
